The Coaching Potentials Certificate Program
The Coaching Potentials Coaching Certificate Program supports the development of a coaching mindset embedded in a genuine, holistic approach, cultivated in a unified appreciation of continuous and mutual learning, and supported by an understanding of equity, behavioral sciences and systemic organizational practices.
Each Cohort engages in shared learning and reflective dialogue experiences as they explore, analyze and cultivate their coaching competencies. We utilize universal, evidence- and research-based coaching competencies developed by the International Coaching Federation.
This innovative program is designed to promote equitable practices with Cohort members representing diverse cultures, languages, races, geographical locations, perspectives/thinking, etc. This greatly enhances our group learning process in valuing differences and honoring each individual to build inclusive relationships and a deep sense of belonging within the Cohort. Anyone connected to early childhood systems can significantly benefit from attending this program.
Traditionally, coaching in the early childhood profession has been offered to teaching staff with a focus on deficit-based improvement of teaching practices based on standardized assessments – coaching for compliance. This has been a contributing factor in a depletion of staff self-efficacy and staff turnover. Our program focuses on individual responsiveness, thereby elevating the human potential of each individual, uplifting and inspiring from within to support long-lasting and sustainable change for individuals and programs. Once there, our coaches can work in coordination with various curricula and programs.
This fully remote, year-long Coaching Certificate Cohort Program
engages participants in 3 parts:

Coaching in a manner that increases human potential involves a deep commitment to enhancing relational skills and knowledge. This course focuses on exploring the many aspects of what is involved in developing such a commitment, e.g., personal communication styles; how to engage in co-learning and applicable planning leading to success; developing culturally respectful and strength-based relationships within boundaries; and promoting awareness and learning, thus enhancing practices.
Part 2 focuses on increasing self-reflective practices, personal communication skills, and identification of effective ongoing support strategies including deep human connection, self-directed action and thoughtful planning and goal setting for continuous improvement, integrating skills with effective application in sessions and practicum experiences.
Part 3 integrates skills from the Foundations and Awareness seminars to complete the EC Coaching Certificate Program. Participants practice refining and altering coaching based on needs and readiness, while learning sustainable, organizational change that embeds coaching in all professional practice.
Outcome: Implement a systematic approach in applying evidence- and research-based coaching knowledge and skills.
Outcome: Apply enhanced awareness, authentic self-reflective practices, meta-cognitive thinking, generative listening, perceptive responsiveness, and facilitative dialogue.
Outcome: Develop and co-create a coaching mindset within a social learning climate as part of systems thinking and change.
