Elevating Human Potentials

Coaching Potentials enVISIONs healthy organizations that nurture and celebrate connection, facilitate responsive practices, & support systemic innovation by inspiring transformative learning. We see that strong and supported early childhood staff create strong and supported children, families and programs – a parallel process.

Thus, we strongly advocate for fidelity to children and families, utilizing a behavioral science approach (promoting trauma-informed practices, nurturing resilience, boosting self-efficacy) to develop equitable and systemic organizational practices in programs. We translate research into practical applications that support individual and systemic development.

Our Mission

Coaching Potentials exists to highlight and activate the capacity in individuals to be whole, e.g., know who they are, what gifts they bring to this world, what purpose they serve in supporting humanity, and then to support them in reaching their highest human potential. We do this through our Coaching Certificate Program and consulting work.

Our Vision

We envision healthy individuals that value, nurture, and celebrate human connection, facilitate conscious and responsive practices, and inspire transformative learning by generating deep and courageous thinking leading to innovation.

Our Coaching Certificate

The Coaching Potentials Coaching Certificate Program facilitates coaching professionals to become secure, compassionate, deep-thinking partners with the capacity for effectively supporting and strengthening the potential of early childhood staff and systems.

We believe in elevating human potential in a manner that authentically supports personal awareness, presencing with purpose, and opening self to possibilities that are emerging. We meet our students where they are at and engage them in the same transformative work they can then implement with their coaching partners or organizations.

Our APPROACH is interactional, leading to a comprehensive understanding of coaching knowledge and skills, the coach themself, and how coaching can be embedded in organizational systems.

Our METHODOLOGY honors the value and dignity of each individual and embraces their multiple perspectives and diverse life experiences, which creates both a rich, responsive and equitable learning environment and a life-long support network.

Additionally, the instructors serve as the participants’ coach and model coaching throughout the year-long process.

The Benefits of Having a Caching Potentials Early Childhood Coaching Certificate include:

  • Offering you credibility with those you coach, signaling to them that you are extensively trained and qualified to do what you do; it validates that you have achieved a basic level of competency they can trust.

  • Using your learned and practiced coaching skills to guide and support individuals in various aspects of their personal and professional lives to reach their highest human potential.

  • Job opportunities such as:

    • Specializing in a specific coaching vocation with a certificate that matches the industry in which one wants to coach, like early childhood coaching, and providing individual or group coaching sessions to early childhood professionals (both administrators and teaching staff) to support them in achieving their aspirations.

    • Working as a coach within an early childhood organization. Coaching in early childhood has become a factor in reaching quality levels of practice and it is required by some funding authorities, e.g., Head Start, some State Quality Initiatives, Public Schools, etc.

    • Starting your own private coaching practice offering coaching services to businesses as a consultant; the certificate can provide you with instant credibility and increased visibility to prospective clients in a growing industry.

    • Parent Coaching

  • Your own internal confidence that you indeed have the skills you need and desire to be a support to both yourself and others!

According to the 2020 Global Coaching Study, the number one obstacle to the advancement of coaching is untrained individuals. Although the coaching industry is not regulated by any one governing body, 74% of respondents said they currently hold a credential or certification from a professional coaching organization, up from 70% in the 2016 study.  A source of information on the industry profile for certified coaches can be found at https://www.bls.gov/oes/2023/may/oes272022.htm
